Q: Do you pick up donations?

A: Yes. However, because Habitat for Humanity of Greater Stark and Carroll Counties and the ReStore always attempt to make the best use of our funds and resources, we reserve pickups for large donations such as sofas, appliances, etc. If you have questions about scheduling a pickup, please call our donation hotline: 330-493-0011.

Q: Why won't you take furniture with stains?

A: All items donated to the ReStore are for resale, so we will not accept items that are stained, torn, or broken, because they have lost their resale value.

Q: I have kitchen cabinets I want to donate, but I can't take them out myself. Do you do that?

A: Yes! We have a deconstruction team that will come and remove your cabinets and schedule a pickup. For more information, visit the deconstruction page.

Q: Are my donations tax-deductible?

A: All donations to the ReStore are tax deductible. We will give you a tax receipt to keep for your records. Please note: by law, we cannot assign a value to the items that you donate. You will need to consult an appraiser, or visit www.irs.gov for more information.
